With about 18 years of experience as a manager, consultant, entrepreneur and coach, Erik has always worked on the cutting edge of business and technology for big multinational companies as well as small and mid-sized, fast-growing businesses. His main areas of expertise are renewable energy (solar), ICT, business development, strategy, HR, and coaching. Since 2014, Erik has been working in the solar industry in which he’s held various roles but always customer oriented. Erik has a degree in Business Economics (MSC.) and Management Consultancy (MC) and helped several organizations to strategically and internally expand their business. Erik operates from Kampala, Uganda.

Alden Zecha is a founding partner at consulting firm We Scale the Impact where he focuses on healthcare in the emerging markets and is the Executive in Residence at the Center for the Advance of Social Entrepreneurship (CASE) at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. Zecha brings to these roles more than 30 years of broad-range executive expertise in operations, strategy and finance, and vast experience from work in more than 35 countries. He previously founded marketing and health IT company Sproxil and served as CFO and Strategist, growing it to profitable operations in 7 countries, founded and served as CFO of ultra-luxury travel company PrivatSea and CFO of Rethos, a social media site. He has founded an OTC drug distribution company, worked with Japanese MHW (FDA) on regulatory compliance issues for Procter & Gamble, and served as the State of Hawaii’s International Economic Development Specialist. He received his MSE and BSE with Honors in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University.

Sebastian is Gray Matter Capital’s Latin American Portfolio Manager. Based in Mexico City, he focuses on maximizing impact and value for GMC’s education investments in the region. Leveraging a rich cross-cultural background, Sebastian has developed a solid expertise in international business as an executive, consultant and serial entrepreneur. He has been involved in distinct business ventures, including a hotel, an events and lighting company, and a global online university to bring quality education and an empowering mindset to the less privileged. He co-founded the Nexus Mexico chapter in 2012, where he seeks to leverage the relationships established between education, philanthropy, and social enterprise to foster a more sustainable and humane world. Sebastian holds a BA in Languages and International Business from the University of Savoie and a Masters in International Business from the Grenoble Graduate School of Business
